2012 Newberger Poetry Winners
This year’s winning poems were selected by Marcia Falk, a poet, translator and painter who lectures widely on Jewish women’s poetry. She is now writing The Days Between, a book of liturgy to accompany the High Holiday season (www.marciafalk.com).
Charlotte A. Newberger is deeply involved in the arts, including the Chicago theater community and the National Foundation for Jewish Culture. Thanks to her generosity, Lilith has awarded a poetry prize annually since 2004, presenting the work of both established and emerging poets. Her support also makes possible the publication of original poetry in every issue of the magazine.
