Savor Purim

March 10 @ 1:00 pm 2:30 pm

It’s almost Purim— join us to get a head start on the celebrating! Explore tantalizing Egyptian, Persian and other Sephardic holiday traditions and food through music, cooking demonstrations and lively conversations with Lilith and Savor: A Sephardic Music & Food Experience.

You’ll bake Persian Purim cookies with chef Susan Barocas, hear how cookbook author Viviane Bowell celebrated the holiday of Queen Esther growing up in Egypt, be inspired by the Purim traditions of Rhodes—including a bureka-making demonstration with Bendichas Manos—and sing along with Ladino recording artist Sarah Aroeste. With music, spice, and connection, this Savor Sunday event, co-sponsored by Women of Reform Judaism, will set you up for Purim’s pleasures!

This virtual event is made possible at no cost to participants—it’s our mishloach manot (traditional Purim food gift) to you. All you need to do is tell us you’re coming.

And on Sunday, April 7, 1-2:30 pm ET, learn more about Sephardic recipes for Passover! Register for Savor Sundays: Passover here.
