Lilith Magazine welcomes submissions of high-quality, lively writing: reportage, opinion pieces, memoirs, fiction and poetry on subjects of interest to Jewish women.
Our features usually run no longer than 2,500 words. News briefs are 500 words or less. Fiction submissions should be under 3,000 words. When submitting, please make sure your name and contact information appear on each page of the manuscript, and include a short bio: one to two sentences, written in the third person. We accept submissions year-round.
Lilith magazine’s annual fiction contest is inviting you to submit work with soul & chutzpah that speaks feministly to Jew(ish) readers. Interpret that as you will. Preferred length is 2500 words or under. Submit through Submittable. Indicate Contest in subject line. Deadline: May 31, 2015. Winner will receive $250 and publication in Lilith.
To learn more or submit your writing, please use our electronic submission form.
While we prefer electronic submissions, we continue to accept hard-copy submissions at:
119 West 57th Street, Suite 1210
New York, NY 10019
You may not hear from us for 12 weeks or more, because each submission gets careful consideration from our small, devoted and sometimes overworked editorial staff. Please be patient.
