The New 40 Emerging Writers Cohort

Are you an emerging writer age 45+? Do you crave a Jewish feminist writing community to support your work? Are you new to writing personal narratives for publication? Apply to Lilith’s The New Forty emerging writers cohort!
This one-year program provides monthly writing workshops facilitated by groundbreaking Jewish feminist writers and editors, mentorship and peer support, plus potential publication and promotion on Lilith’s robust digital and print platforms. Since its inception in 2022, Lilith’s New 40 has mentored 30 Jewish feminists ages 40-80+ toward publication of dozens of personal narrative essays and poems, including 8 Rockower Award winners.

Note: With the exception of one Thursday session in October 2025, workshops will take place once per month on Tuesdays from 1:00-2:30 PM ET/10:00-11:30 PT, barring extenuating circumstances.
