Crafting Complicated Women

November 16, 2025 @ 10:15 am 11:15 am

As a woman, feminist and Jew in 2025, it often feels like we are fighting for the rights and safety that once felt inalienable. So how do we capture in writing the complicated women navigating these fascinating, horrible times? Co-presented by Lilith, esteemed Jewish feminist authors Maya Arad (Happy New Years), Amy Shearn (Animal Instinct), and Kitty Zeldis (One of Them) will be in conversation with Susan Weidman Schneider, Lilith’s editor in chief and one of its founding mothers, about crafting complicated women on the page.

Lilith is a proud partner of the New York Jewish Book Festival. After the panel, join us Events Hall for Lilith swag, gift copies of the latest issue, and more.
