Frances Z. Green, 91, who worked for several pioneering social service agencies, died in Holyoke, Massachusetts this past April.

She had worked for the National Child Labor Committee, the American Public Housing Conference, the Joint Distribution Committee and the American Jewish Committee, where she was business and then general manager of Commentary Magazine from its inception in 1945 until 1963. She worked at Current until her retirement in 1970. Green was born in Lithuania and grew up in Hartford, Connecticut. She attended New York University.
