Helper, Companion, Rescuer

In Los Angeles, artist Julie Weitz presents her artwork Golem v. Golem, My Golem as a Wildland Firefighter. Weitz’s work employs the story of the golem, originally a “clay humanoid” creation of the Jewish mystics. In the exhibition, viewers see “Jewish allegory, folklore, and spiritual practice” used “to confront societal and ecological disasters.” Learn more at bit.ly/golemart.
