Campaign For Anne Henderson Pollard

Lawyers and friends of Anne Henderson Pollard have mounted a campaign to lessen her prison sentence, and to obtain better medical care for her while she is incarcerated.

Pollard, the 27-year-old wife of convicted spy Jonathan Pollard, was sentenced in December to five years in prison for her role in passing classified documents to Israeli agents. She is reported to be suffering from a debilitating stomach disorder.

Pollard’s family has retained lawyers Alan and Nathan Dershowitz. They and a group called Justice for the Pollards claim that Pollard’s sentence is too severe given the crime, and certainly exceeds that of other U.S. citizens recently convicted of spying for the Soviet Union.
