50 Years of Women in the Rabbinate

50 years ago, Rabbi Sally J. Priesand became North America’s first ordained woman rabbi. To celebrate this momentous anniversary, Hebrew Union College’s Dr. Bernard Heller Museum in New York City presents Holy Sparks: Pioneering Women Rabbis, in partnership with The Skirball Museum and The Braid. The exhibit features 25 women rabbis who paved the way for gender diversity in the rabbinate, honored through art by 25 Jewish women artists. This exhibition is open through September 4, 2022.
