We’re Looking for an Email and Social Media Strategist!
About Us:
Independent, Jewish & frankly feminist since 1976, Lilith’s mission is to be the feminist change-agent in and for the Jewish community: amplifying Jewish feminist voices, creating an inclusive and positive Judaism, spurring gender consciousness in the Jewish world and empowering women, girls and trans and nonbinary people of every background to envision and enact change in their own lives and the larger community.
About the Role:
Lilith magazine, a small but mighty Jewish feminist magazine, is looking to hire a short-term digital strategist for Summer 2023. We’re looking for an experienced social media professional to create and deliver a social media and email strategy that matches our award-winning content and lively multi-platform presence–not to mention our rich archives. There’s never been a more urgent time for Jewish feminist voices, and we want to more deeply engage our current readers and connect with new ones.
The Email and Social Media Strategist will create a compelling, sustainable and efficient plan, including suggested language and graphics, for Lilith’s social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok) and virtual communications (newsletter, website, and virtual events). We envision this consulting project beginning with a thorough review of Lilith’s recent social media output and communications to identify strengths and opportunities for growth, and ending with an compelling and efficient plan that engages with all different aspects of Lilith—magazine, online, archives, events—and takes into account Lilith’s staff capacity and mission.
Based on the analysis, the consultant will draft, in conversation with the staff, a 6-12 month digital communications strategy with concrete benchmarks to build our audience (with staff capacity in mind) and engage more deeply with our readers. As part of the strategy, they will identify prospective new audiences/readers and craft a plan to translate digital engagement into magazine subscriptions and donations. Finally, the Digital Strategist will test and adjust the strategy accordingly.
