Hadassah Endorses ERA

The National Board of Hadassah Women’s Zionist Organization of America endorsed the Equal Rights Amendment at the closing session of its annual Mid-Winter Conference in February, as follows:
“Hadassah, an organization of 350,000 women, applauds efforts to protect the rights of women. We do not accept differentiation of rights between men and women and endorse the proposed Equal Rights Amendment as a statement of this principle.”
The statement was submitted and spearheaded by Roslyn K. Brecher, who chairs the organization’s American Affairs Department and was formerly Editorial Director of Hadassah Magazine. Study guides on the ERA are being sent out to local chapters.
